is a trading name of LightMaster Nautical Training and Software. LightMaster was established in 1995 to

develop and market training software for small-craft sailors.

Navigation UK brings a fresh look at providing the information and support which can help increase your

knowledge and justified confidence on the water.

LightMaster has always worked very closely with the Royal Yachting Association to bring you training

software which complements RYA courses. The first VHF DSC Simulator and Radar Simulator were

developed to provide the tools around which the RYA has developed their new courses..

In addition to designing and supplying software to most marine training establishments and sea schools,

LightMaster Nautical Training and Software is an RYA recognised training establishment in its own right.

We understand the requirements for schools and tutors, and additionally can offer classroom courses to

meet the RYA standards.

The company was founded by Martin Quaintance, a keen yachtsman and sailing instructor, who was

elected as a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation for services to the development of training

quality through the introduction of small-craft simulator software.

We have supplied software to the Coastguard, RNLI, Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxilliary, Police and Fire

services, as well as most nautical training colleges and sea schools throughout the UK, and around the

world.
